Since I have arrived here, God has encouraged me with a person who is so dear to my heart. Scovia, is my hired house help and a new friend. Living here in Kenya, it is important to be able to hire nationals in order to provide jobs for so many that do not have a position to earn money for their family. So many are single mothers making barely enough for rent and food. Scovia is a single mother of one, Michael. Michael is in class 7 and will be 13. They are both such special gifts and we have been able to spend more time together outside of her work time. Another family here at RVA also has her in their house and so this last week we all got together to just spend time with Scovia and Michael and baked and painted cookies... Abby and Scovia are making the "paint" for the cookieshere, simply egg yoke and food coloring with a dash of water.

The day was so much fun. Good quality time, we even got to play outside together and have lunch.
When my brother and sister came out a few weeks ago, they brought a vortex football that has become popular around campus during vacation....so here is Andrew attempting to catch the ball :)
He decided to stick with his rocket insteadWith the monthly support I receive, I am able to pay Scovia for her time....You are blessing her and Michael beyond what you can comprehend. You put food on the table and literally a roof over their heads. Michael is able to go to school and have clothes to wear. Thank you for being part of helping this precious family in Kenya. These two are in love with the Lord andd they are so thankful to God for you and the way God has provided for them through you back in America. Please keep Scovia and Michael in your prayers as we have received alot of rain this last week, but are still in need to fill the wells around here, including that of Scovia and Michaels.
